Canon 70-200 Lens on R7
Without a teleconverter
“Can I use the 2x extender with my 70-200 on the Canon R7”
Thanks for asking if you can use your Canon 2x extender (Teleconverter) with your 70-200 lens on your Canon R7 camera. The quick answer is yes.
I’m not sure if you have the new RF 70-200mm lens or one of the EF 70-200mm lenses, but both are Canon”L” lenses and have the space for the protrusion of the extender to fit inside the 70-200mm lens barrel without hitting one of the internal lens elements.
Also, I’m not sure if you have the RF extender or an EF extender, so you may need one of the EF-EOS R adapters. See my photo above of my EF 70-200mm f/2.8 lens mounted to my R7 using the EF-EOS R adapter that has the control ring.
Feel free to comment back if you have any follow up questions about your Canon Canon EOS R7.
Thanks,
Bruce
