Canon R7 Body – Under $1600
Hi,
First off thank you for allowing us to ask you questions.
I have always been into photography and have been looking to buy a new Canon for a few years now.
I really would like an all around great Canon that will shoot ALL of the following:
– Most importantly need it for sports photography, both indoor and outdoor (specifically volleyball and baseball). Some of the gyms where my daughter plays volleyball are really low light.
– Also would like it for photographing indoor and outdoor portraits and weddings… and , landscaping, wildlife.
– Lastly, I would also like it to have a good macro feature for small insect/ flower photos.
And if you had a suggestion on extra lenses that I would need with a particular Canon to assist in my needs that would be great!
Thank you for your time!!!
Jenn
Hi Jenn!
Thanks for checking in for a Canon camera for under $1600. I’m not sure if that includes a lens or if you are looking for a camera body alone within that budget. Please comment back so I can get clear on your investment for your camera.
Two important remarks with respect to the type of photography you want to do with your Canon.
All of the relatively new camera bodies, both Canon DLSR and mirrorless will shoot portraits, weddings, landscapes, and macro photography with terrific image quality.
Most modern cameras will shoot sports and wildlife pretty well too. It’s more about the lenses you get that matters more. Fast motion indoor sports, long distance wildlife, and wildlife in motion (like birds in flight) can be more challenging for cameras/lens combinations and you may have to go over budget for high end photography in these specific situations.
I am a big fan of the Canon 90D and the Canon EOS R7 cameras as affordable and solid performers for almost all types of photography.
Hope this helps. Please let me know about your lens budget and if you’d consider buying used equipment.
Thanks so much,
Bruce
