How can I adapt? Efs 15-85 canon with TC1.4 to work on {Canon} R7

Thanks for asking about the compatibility of combining an EF-S 15-85mm with a 1.4x tele-converter for a Canon R7. No, you can’t, to the best of my knowledge.

The Canon 1.4x tele-converter has a protruding lens element that won’t fit inside the 15-85mm lens.

EF or EF-S Telephoto For R7

I’d suggest you’d be better off by getting one of the 3 different EF-EOS R Adapters. That will open up the door for you to use any longer EF or EF-S lens you want on your R7.

That’s what I do with my Canon R7. Since the R7 is an APS-C “crop” camera, you’ll get 1.6x the reach.

I frequently use either my EF 70-200mm or my EF 100-400 II lens with my EF EOS R adapter (with control ring) on my R7 to get either 112-320mm or 160-640mm equivalent views. Your EF-S 15-85 lens will give you an equivalent view of 24-136mm lens on your R7

You can get really top quality used EF or EF-S lenses and get much better image quality than you will get with using a tele-converter. See the ad for KEH> elsewhere on this page. Don’t forget, with such a high pixel count on the R7, you can also do a lot of cropping post-capture to get the view you want with a smaller focal length lens, save money, and still get excellent image quality.
