The white box on Canon T7 that won’t go away
Hello, I have a Canon Rebel T7 DSLR. I am trying to use it for live streaming, but it has a white box that I cannot get rid of. I have checked YouTube and many people have suggested clicking the info button to remove the box, however, my camera does not have an info button.
Thank you for your help!
Hi Ethan!
Sorry to hear that you’re having an issue with your Rebel T7 and a white box on your LCD screen. I’ve never used a Canon t7, but I have a few ideas for you to try that might help.
t7 Live View
Try taking your Rebel T7 out of “Live Mode” to remove the box on the back of your T7. The box may be an indicator built in to the design of your camera that reminds you you’re in live mode. That’s the way it is with my Canon 90D and 5D Mark III, although the box has a different appearance than your T7.
Rebel T7 Manual
Use the index at the back of the Canon T7 Manual and search focusing modes and live view sections. Although the manuals are often poorly written, with a little investigation you can find out a lot about many of the sophisticated capabilities of your Rebel 7 camera.
T7 Focus Magnification
A box will appear when you use focus magnification. Without having your camera in front of me, I can’t tell if this is a possibility in your case.
Manual Focus
Does the box on your T7 disappear when you switch to manual focus? That’s a dead give away that the box is related to an autofocusing function. Specifically, the box may be related to using QuickFocus and Live View.
Ethan, please comment back when you’ve got if figured out. I’m curious and fellow T7 owners will appreciate knowing how to get rid of the box on the Rebel T7 LCD screen too!
Regards,
Bruce
